What is the cost of shipping a vehicle?
Our rates are based on several different factors – size of vehicle, distance of transport, the working condition of the vehicle, time of year transport is required and the general market price for the particular route requested. By filling out a quote form on our home page, we can better estimate the exact costs.
How far in advance should I schedule the transport?
We recommend scheduling your move early to ensure it fits your timeline. Trucks are usually assigned 1-5 days after the vehicle is available. For immediate pick-up, we’ll try to meet your preferred date. Submitting orders 5 days in advance is helpful but not always necessary for transportation arrangements.
Is there any additional costs?
Once you’ve placed an order, we’ll search our network of car haulers to find the best possible trucker to ship your vehicle. Our dispatch department will provide an estimated time for the pickup. The company will call you at least 24 h to schedule convenient pick up time for you.
What different payment options do we offer?
At the time of booking you can pay reservation fee with Credit card/debit card or Cashapp. Remaining amount should be paid to the carrier as cash, cashier’s check or money order. Please keep in mind as carriers don’t carry machines with them so they don’t accept payments via Credit/debit cards.
How long does it take for my vehicle to be picked up?
Pick-up time mainly depends on location. In metropolitan areas, vehicles are usually picked up on the exact date requested. However, delays may occur due to weather, traffic, or road conditions. For rural areas, pick-up may take 2 or more days. Location significantly impacts the scheduling of vehicle transportation.
How long does it take for my vehicle to be delivered?
Once your dates are confirmed with the driver, your vehicle should arrive on time. However, delays may occur due to weather, truck issues, or other unforeseen events. Coast-to-coast shipping takes 7-10 days, north-to-south 5-7 days, and under 500 miles typically 2-3 days after pick-up. Timelines vary by distance and conditions.
Is AmericanX Logistics a licensed and bonded company?
American x logistics is licensed by the U.S. Department of Transportation and the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration. Our MC# is 1684199 and our DOT# is 4317967.
Can you still ship my car if it is inoperable?
Yes, but the exact condition must be noted at the time you place your order. If your vehicle is not operable, an inoperable fee of approximately $200 will be added to the transport cost. Please, make sure that you inform us ahead of time if your vehicle is inoperable, so that we can assign the right driver to ship your vehicle.
